Top 5 Hatchbacks

Top 5 hatchbacks leased by CVS Ltd.

Over the next few posts I am going to share with you the top 5’s from CVS Ltd.

Here are the top 5 leased hatchbacks in our company, and of course they will be in reverse order!

Number 5:

VW Golf

It would seem that once you have had a Golf you will tend to return to one, we have found that the majority of the people leasing from us have certainly had a Golf in the past and loved it. With the Golf you are getting the VW badge of quality, and unlike in the 90’s it will still be there in the morning!

.The Golf is one of our more expensive hatchbacks and given we are in subprime and working on affordability, I am not surprised it ranks 5.  You can check out our competitive leasing deal and read our Director Ben’s review on the car here.

Despite being around for over 40 years the Golf has kept its understated looks and up market image, much like myself!  The latest generation is slightly bigger and has all the latest equipment you come to expect from a car these days. The Golf even offers a drivers knee airbag alongside the other usual airbags, earning it the maximum five-star rating when it was crash tested by car safety specialists Euro NCAP.

Limited Edition Harlequin

From the limited edition Harlequin to the latest model of the Golf, it would seem once you have driven one, you just keep coming back for more!

Number 4:

Ford Focus

The Ford Focus makes our number 4 but in terms of sales in the UK to date in 2016 it ranks 3rd.  The Focus comes in at the same price as the Astra at CVS Ltd, and we will see a pattern of Vauxhall and Ford juggling for positions throughout our top 5’s over the next couple of weeks.

Some questioned Ford when they decided to replace the Escort with the Focus, but as the stats above show they made the right decision!

To see the fantastic deals we have on the Focus and to read Ben’s review 3 year deal click here and if you are new to leasing and would prefer a 2 year deal we have that covered also! click here.

Early Ford Escort

The Ford Focus replaced the Earlier Ford Escort.

Number 3:

Vauxhall Astra

The Astra as mentioned earlier comes in at the same price as the Focus and it really is down to preference, both cars have their own pro’s and con’s.  The first pro has to be that it is manufactured in the UK, its solid and dependable and makes a great family car!  To read Ben’s review on the Astra and to see our competitive deals click here.

Vauxhall Muscle Car
Vauxhall's 1970 muscle car idea.

In the early 1970’s Vauxhall had an idea to create the first UK muscle car, this has no relevance on the hatchback top 5, but I love muscle cars and so need to lever it in some how……

If the Vauxhall muscle car had been produced then it would never have made our top 5 in the Hatchbacks, but it may have in my Favourite V8’s- Hah there you are!

Vauxhall Astra
Great family car!

Number 2:

Ford Fiesta

The best selling car to date this year in the UK, makes our number 2 in our top 5 hatchbacks.

Originally being called the ‘Bobcat’ the Fiesta has been around for decades it remains popular year on year!  Whats equally as popular are our amazing leasing deals on this cracking car click here to check out our deals and to read Ben’s review.

Gras Fiesta
1990 Ford Fiesta

Even the older Fiesta’s are selling well, this 1990 1.1 Popular Plus was picked up recently by our Director, Ford have a great model here and they are right to keep the model and make improvements on each generation.

Number 1:

No surprise………… The Vauxhall Corsa

To date this is the second best selling car in the UK 2016, and our number 1 in our top 5 hatchbacks.  Ben has written an informative review on the Corsa so check that out here.

Here are some interesting facts about the Vauxhall Corsa…

The 1993 Corsa GSi engine (1.6 ltr 16V) was worked on by Lotus in fact they were so successful making 140bhp that Vauxhall had to fit a restrictive inlet to get it down to 109bhp for the purpose of insurance.
