Hyundai iLoad Van Review 2017
The iLoad comes with a 2.5 litre CRDi 6 speed manual engine with 116 ps. There are two different options for either a Panel van, or for a Crew van. Both of these match like for like nearly perfect when it comes to the features and specification, meaning there is not any real compromise when you decide between the Panel or Crew option.
Both iLoads offer a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty, twin sliding doors, ABS, 343 nm of torque, and bulkhead. If you decide to go for the Panel van, you are going to get a payload of 1062 kg and a 4.3 metre-cubed load volume and three seats (one driver and two passenger); whereas with the Crew van, you are going to get an alternative payload of 1059 kg – which is only 3 kg less than the Panel option – a load volume of a much less significant 2.5 metre-cubed, but you are sacrificing this space for an additional three passenger seats behind the front three.
There are colour choices of Creamy White (solid), Hyper Silver (metallic) and Timeless Black. Both the Panel and Crew options come with Cloth seat trim as standard with no upgrade option. There is also a Ten Year Anti-perforation warranty against perforation of the bodywork from the inside of the panel outwards.
Roomy and comfortable for long distances
As the driver, there are quite a few features that come as standard to enhance the driving experience day to day.
For example there are electric windows, central locking, as well as driver seat height adjustment. You can also fold down the centre seat for more space or room to put other items you need to keep handy. There are plenty of areas for storage inside the cab, also plenty of holding cups, so you can keep focused on driving. Air conditioning is standard too.
If you need music or radio, there is an RDS radio / CD player with USB and AUX. There is also Bluetooth if you are not a fan of cables and wires. Classic models feature a driver’s airbag while the Comfort panel and Comfort Crew Van benefit from a driver’s and front passenger airbag.
The Hyundai iLoad has safety as standard
In the iLoad, intelligent safety features are built in as standard protect you and the cargo in the back. Anti-lock Brakes and ‘Electronic Brake force Distribution’ enhances braking control, there is an optional Electronic Stability Programme that can also apply subtle adjustments to the throttle to keep you in control.
If you’re a little fed up of the usual Vauxhall or Ford models, the Hyundai iLoad may well offer more than a little temptation when choosing your next van.
